About
Captain America and the Avengers is a faithful port of the arcade game by Data East. It stars Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Vision. Its somewhat unique combat puts a strong emphasis on projectiles.

Trivia
This game has the most digitized voice samples of any Genesis brawler. The large robot fought at the end of the first shooter section is a Sentinel, which is originally from X-Men.

Captain America is average. I actually enjoyed the Genesis one the best because its humble presentation and simple yet difficult gameplay felt right at home. Still, its awkward combat and tiny sprites are too off-putting to really get into. It has a good challenge and decent variety, though.
