Little Ninja Brothers is a one-of-a-kind brawler/RPG hybrid from Culture Brain and the second game in the Super Chinese series. You walk around on an overhead map, visiting towns, talking to people, buying stuff, and taking on quests. When you encounter an enemy, the game becomes an overhead same-screen brawler like Kung Fu Heroes. It also features several two-player competitive minigames.
This is actually the sequel to Kung-Fu Heroes. In Japan this is known as the Super Chinese series. There's a sequel to this game that's also an action-RPG but it's Japan exclusive. Super Ninja Boy on the SNES is basically the SNES version of this game. However, it is not as good.

Little Ninja Bros. is great. The minigames themselves would make this a legitimate NES game but of course it has solid RPG and brawler gameplay on top of that. If you can accept its mediocre music and repetitive, simplistic combat, this is a co-op brawler like no other. Unfortunately it has password save only.
