X-Men is a multi-screen 6-player brawler from Konami that's based off the Marvel Comics series. It features Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Dazzler as playable characters although more characters are available as special attacks.

Based on the X-Men comics, it lets players control six X-Men, each with unique mutant powers, across stages that blend beat'em up and platforming gameplay.

The fourth main entry in the series, it introduces three new protagonists alongside series hero Kazuma Kiryu. Their intersecting stories unfold across the streets of Kamurocho.

Yakuza 5 is a 3D action-adventure brawler developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3 in 2012. The fifth main entry in the series, it follows five protagonists across five Japanese cities. Each character brings a unique fighting style to the brawling action.

Yakuza Fury is a 3D beat'em up developed by Vingt-et-un Systems and released for the PlayStation 2 in 2005. In Japan it was released as Simple 2000 Series Vol. 72 The Ninkyo.

Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first game with a new engine and 0’s fighting system.

Yakuza Kiwami is a 3D action-adventure brawler developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega in 2016. It is a full remake of the original 2005 Yakuza, rebuilt on the engine used for Yakuza 0. Players once again follow Kazuma Kiryu through the streets of Kamurocho.

It is a ground-up remake of the 2006 Yakuza 2, rebuilt with the Dragon Engine. The story sees Kazuma Kiryu return to Kamurocho and Osaka when the Kansai yakuza clans threaten Tokyo.

Yeolhyeol Kangho 2 X-Fighters is a beat'em up developed by Winnie Soft and published by Game Meca in 2003.

Zeiramzone is a game based on the anime Iria: Zeiram the Animation that is a six episode OVA series featuring Iria, a female bounty hunter. The series serves as a prequel to the original live-action film Zeiram, taking place several years earlier when Iria is still a rookie and detailing the events surrounding her first encounter with the unstoppable Zeiram.

Zero Team is an obscure four-player arcade brawler with a Japanese superhero theme. It plays a lot like Final Fight but has a few advanced techniques and dynamic combos. It also places a strong emphasis on weapons, which include a bazooka. It has extremely vibrant graphics, goofy enemies, and terrible music.

Zoku: The Legend of Bishin is a Super Famicom exclusive brawler/racer hybrid. It mainly features Mode 7 racing where you must rush to the target and beat the time limit. When you crash your car, you get thrown from it and the game turns into a brawler. Bosses are also fought with traditional beat 'em up combat.

It is a rare South Korean beat ’em up officially based on the cult 1998 film of the same name, although its story only loosely follows the movie. Players can choose among three characters—student gang member Lim Se-bin, fighter Yu Hae-ri, and teacher Hwang Gi-pung—each following slightly different routes. Despite attractive sprites, memorable music from the film, and some character-specific variation, the game suffers from awkward controls, repetitive levels, simplistic enemy AI, and an unremarkable combat system.
